Erasmus+ CSupMNE project

The Erasmus+ project CSupMNE (https://csupmne.me/index.php) is designed to implement sustainable systemic and structural reforms and to modernize the higher education system in Montenegro (MNE). These efforts are focused on the assessment, protection, and management of growing business risks and threats in the digital world. The project will help protect staff, students, and partners during their time at higher education institutions.

Project Sub-objectives:

  • Raising awareness of cyber threats and building capacity at all levels of the higher education system.

  • Enhancing the quality of education through the adoption of accreditation standards for digital education and the modernization of curricula in the field of cybersecurity.

  • Reforming the operational model of higher education at the national level to proactively identify and address business risks from cyber threats by introducing a cybersecurity framework.

  • Implementing significant changes in higher education infrastructure through innovative technological solutions to reduce the number and limit the impact of cyberattacks.

  • Building capacities and mechanisms for appropriate response and recovery from cyber incidents through the establishment of the MNE Academic CSIRT.

Key Indicators: 1 MNE Academic CSIRT, 4 CS groups with 55 trained members, 5 training modules, 16 training events for leadership, academic, and non-academic staff, and 5,200 students.

The project is scheduled to run for 3 years, from the beginning of 2025 until the end of 2027.
